Lifting a=20 salute!

 

= Here we see two=20 3" salutes (6oz.) that are filled, sealed, and ready for the=20 lift.

 

= The lift cup is=20 formed by pasting/gluing a length of kraft paper that overhangs the end = of the=20 salute. This will form a little compartment.

 

= Next you add=20 the lift to each salute (the time fuse is cross = matched)

 

= Then with a=20 sponge or similar apply paste to the interior of the overhanging=20 paper.

 

= Then while the=20 glue or paste is wet neatly fold the paper in fourths and press down = flat. You=20 can use tape to help aid in holding the paper folds down if=20 needed.

 

= Next a small=20 incision is made in the newly formed lift pouch. A piece of quick match = is now=20 inserted into the lift and firmly attached.

 

= And finally the=20 leader is neatly folded (and attached to the top of the salute) and the = label is=20 applied.
